Irene Claude

Irene Claude maintains a private flute studio in Hyde Park and performs as a substitute musician with several regional orchestras. Her teaching experience includes positions at Saint Xavier University, South Suburban College, Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, St. Giles School in Oak Park, and as a Music Together teacher at Marsha’s Music.

Irene has a Master of Music degree from DePaul University and a Bachelor in Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has completed Suzuki pedagogy studies, and training in Dalcroze, Music Together, Kodaly, and Orff Schulwerk. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Chicago Flute Club, Music Teachers of Hyde Park, National Flute Association, and Suzuki Association of the Americas.
